Cheese and Wine Workshop

Share

Over the course of the evening we will try a variety of cheeses (all sourced from our fantastic local supplier) from mature styles, to blue and soft cheeses, from producers around the world. All served with delicious biscuits and breads.

These will then all be paired with a selection of interesting wines to illustrate the impact the different matches can have. This will include sparkling wines, dry whites, full bodied reds and of course some Port and sweet desert wine.

To give you an idea of what to expect here is a sample menu, while this may vary from tasting to tasting, each will include at least some of the following:

Chaource soft cheese with Champagne
Brue de Meaux with Sancerre
Mature Cheddar with Bordeaux
Manchego with Amontillado
Stichelton Blue with Sauternes
Chevre Bleu with Port

The price for our Cheese & Wine Workshop includes a minimum of six wines and at least six cheeses, presented as a tutored tasting with professional ISO tasting glasses.
