We’re excited to bring you our latest pairing event at WSET School London, with some help from Academy of Cheese’s Patrick McGuigan, and our own Julia Lambeth DipWSET.

Spend an evening delighting your senses with some truly delectable beer and cheese pairings. Our very own Beer Educator Julia Lambeth and cheese journalist extraordinaire Patrick McGuigan together have selected a range of classic and lesser known beers and cheeses, and will guide you through the combinations, discussing methods of production and producer stories along the way. From a peppery saison and a tangy goats cheese to a barrel-aged milk stout with a squidgy Cashel Blue, you’ll be sure to find your new favourite pairing!

We will be tasting six beer and cheese pairings, using the Academy of Cheese Structured Approach to Tasting Cheese, plus you will receive some top wine pairing tips.

Example Cheese List

  • Crottin de Chavignol
  • Witheridge
  • Old Amsterdam
  • Rutland Red
  • Maida Vale
  • Cashel Blue

Example Beer List

  • Burning Sky ‘Houblon’ Saison
  • Pressure Drop ‘Near Earth Objects’ New England IPA
  • Cloudwater ‘Know People who No People’ Double IPA
  • Moor ‘Illumination’ English Pale Ale
  • Lambiek Fabriek ‘Muscar Elle’
  • Rivington Brewing Co. American Barleywine
  • Brew York ‘Empress Tonkoko’ Imperial Milk Stout
