With decades of hands-on experience across the cheese making , hospitality, retail, and wholesale cheese sectors, Tanny combines deep industry knowledge with an authentic passion for cultural heritage.
Tanny's journey spans over 20 years, beginning with cheese making at Isle of Mull Cheese. This foundational experience was followed by essential time in specialised retail, where Tanny honed the skill and passion for affinage and customer education under the guidance of Patricia at La Fromagerie London. This comprehensive background culminated in a senior role at Clarks Speciality Foods, where Tanny gained an intimate, commercial understanding of product sourcing (local and international), supply chain logistics, and strategic retail partnerships across Scotland and the UK.
Tanny's approach to cheese education is rooted in the belief that knowledge should be transformative. The SCA is the culmination of Tanny's career, positioning certified education as the key to unlocking the true value of premium food experiences.
