About Mrs Platters
Bringing Cheese Knowledge To Life
Mrs. Platters is a cheese education and experience business founded in 2020 by Irene Clemente and based in Long Beach, California.
Built around the pillars of Learn, Make, Taste and Travel, Mrs. Platters offers Academy of Cheese courses, guided tastings, private and corporate experiences, hands-on cheesemaking workshops and educational travel experiences. Each offering is designed to build knowledge, develop practical tasting skills and connect participants with the people, places and traditions behind cheese. Mrs. Platters is led by Irene Clemente, an Academy of Cheese Fellow. Her experience includes professional cheese education, cheesemaking training, producer immersions in the United States and Europe and an apprenticeship at Fromagerie Moreau in France. She has also served as a judge at international cheese competitions in France and Germany.
Combining internationally recognized credentials with an approachable and inclusive teaching style, Mrs. Platters welcomes everyone from curious beginners and cheese enthusiasts to hospitality, retail and cheese professionals across Southern California.
