Is their a cost to register?
Absolutely not! There is no initial cost for signing up and taking the first few steps towards cheese mastery. Then, after the initial taster, you can pay per level you wish to train up to.
Is it suitable for beginners?
The Academy is open to everyone! if you aspire to become more knowledgeable and develop a great understanding about all aspects of cheese, then welcome aboard.
Who are the Academy of Cheese?
The industry representative group set-up to examine this opportunity, are the founding Directors behind the Academy of Cheese. They are:
Charlie Turnbull – Chartered Accountant, plus running own businesses for 15 years (Deli in Shaftesbury, Cheese trainer for Guild of Fine Food and Academy of Cheese)
Paul Thomas – Dairy Consultant and Trainer
Ros Windsor – Managing Director Paxton and Whitfield 17 years, before that at PwC (17 years) Management Development Director for the Audit Practice – amongst other things responsible for the development programme for Partners and Directors
Mary Quicke MBE – Managing Director Quickes Traditional Ltd, farmer and cheesemaker, member of the board of Food Standards Agency
