About this Masterclass
Join Andreea Popa for a guided masterclass exploring the art of tasting matured cheeses with greater confidence, attention and understanding. Drawing on her experience as a Fellow and Training Partner of the Academy of Cheese, Andreea will introduce you to the sensory principles that shape how cheese is experienced, from aroma and texture to balance, complexity and finish.
Designed for cheese lovers, food enthusiasts and curious beginners alike, this session offers a deeper approach to tasting cheeses made from cow’s, sheep’s and goat’s milk. You’ll discover how milk type, maturation, terroir and production choices influence flavour and character, and learn what to look for when tasting artisan cheese with intention rather than simply sampling it.
This masterclass takes place as part of the Vatră și Ogradă gastronomic festival at Ferma Dacilor and includes guided cheese tasting during the session.
