Based in the New York city area and offering in-person classes throughout the United States and virtual coaching worldwide, Sharon Ruwart offers tailored tastings for charities, companies and private organizations. For over 25 years, Sharon has introduced artisan cheeses from all over the world to a collective audience of thousands and is known for creating highly engaging, memorable and educational training events.

Who's Behind Cheese Coach?
Lifelong cheese enthusiast and Level Three Academy Fellow Sharon Ruwart has spent four decades traveling and studying to learn about the history, science and craft of artisan cheese. After years of leading tastings in Northern California, and following a family move to China, she founded the Beijing Cheese Society in 2004. Over the next decade, her lively, interactive tastings introduced thousands of people to cheeses from all over the world. Now based near New York City, she continues to present customized, themed tastings for non-profit organizations, social groups, and cheese professionals, while pursuing the Academy’s certification path to become a Master of Cheese.
