About Tracey Johnson ACS CCP

Championing the Art & Science of Cheesemaking

When Tracey Johnson moved to rural Canada, she had no idea how much she would miss the cheese diversity she had been spoiled with in the UK and Europe. Turning her back on Psychology, Tracey began a new career - teaching people how to make cheese!

Today Tracey leads pairing and tasting events in all the major foodie cities in Canada. She continues to teach cheesemaking, and runs the largest online Facebook group in the world for home cheesemakers and small creameries.

Tracey is a Member of the Academy of Cheese, An American Cheese Society Certified Cheese Professional ACSCCP, A Certified Cheesemaker (UGuelph) and has completed food safety and sensory analysis programs at North Carolina State University, and Vermont University respectively. In 2025 Tracey was on the super jury at the Great British and Irish Cheese Awards.

Tracey lives with her husband and children, in BC on a dairy goat farm.
