An ex-sports therapist and International javelin thrower, Jen Grimstone-Jones had a complete career change and now owns the Berkshire-based cheesemongers, Cheese Etc, in Pangbourne. Her award-winning specialist cheese shop has previously been crowned Winner of the UK Cheesemonger of the Year at the Farm Shop & Deli Awards as well as Cheese Counter of the Year at The World Cheese Awards.

A pioneer in cheese education, Jen was just the fourth person globally to pass her Level Three exams with the Academy of Cheese to become a Fellow of the Academy in May 2024, and now teaches Level One and Level Two to cheese enthusiasts and industry professionals at her training space above the shop.

She is also a Certified Cheese Professional with the American Cheese Society and a Cheese State Scholar with the Cheese State University, Wisconsin. A regular judge at the Artisan Cheese Awards, the International Cheese Awards and the World Cheese Awards, cheese is Jen’s passion. She has made it her mission to learn as much as she can about cheese and then pass that knowledge on to others; her latest role as tutor for the Academy's Self-Study Guided Study Sessions, is testament to this.

Not completely letting go of her sporting background, Jen still finds time to run 10k every morning before opening up and is the author of The Running Cheesemonger Blog.
