Andreea Popa grew up in the Romanian countryside. Always by her agronomist father's side, she learned from a young age about sustainable farming and quality produce. After moving to the UK, she pursued a career as a chef and worked as a private chef in various shooting estates, where she developed an appreciation for the beauty of the English countryside. While London is now her home, her heart still belongs to the countryside where she first discovered her passion for cheese. Her curiosity led her to study cheese, and she now applies her knowledge to create cheese-centric dishes and dinners. She founded Cheese Orbit with the mission of bridging the gap between Romanian and international cheese cultures and introducing audiences to a broader world of cheese. In January 2025, Andreea passed her Level Three exam, becoming one of the first Fellows of the Academy.
