Katy's career highlights include her role as Retail Manager for Neal’s Yard Dairy and her international experience working with cheese makers and retailers both in the UK and overseas. Her dedication to sharing her knowledge led her to teach at the School of Artisan Food and spend 18 months at Jasper Hill Farm in Vermont, where she contributed to their creameries, affinage facilities, and new product development.
Currently residing in the Lake District with her family, Katy enjoys hiking, theatre, rock climbing, and, naturally, savouring cheese. As the Education Project Manager at the Academy of Cheese, Katy continues to excel in cheese education, specialising in dairy science, technology, cheese making, and affinage, making her a vital asset to the Academy's mission of spreading cheese knowledge and appreciation.
