Meredith Fitzgerald is a lifelong foodie and passionate advocate for the cheese world. With a Culinary degree and a B.S. in Hotel and Restaurant Management, she began her career in restaurants before spending 15 years as a buyer and author promotions manager at Barnes & Noble.
Returning to the hospitality industry, Meredith became a Specialty Team Leader for Whole Foods Market in the North Atlantic and earned her Certified Cheese Professional (CCP) designation in 2015. She later ran her own shop in Newburyport, MA, and gained extensive experience in purchasing and distribution for specialty and dairy products. An active member of both the Massachusetts and Vermont Cheese Guilds, Meredith has long championed the people and craftsmanship behind exceptional cheese.
Selected as an Official Cheesemonger for the American Cheese Society in 2016, she has volunteered extensively in ACS Judging & Competition and currently serves on both the ACS Planning and Selection Committees. Today, as East Coast Sales Manager for The Fine Cheese Co. Meredith proudly represents the heart and heritage of British cheesemakers, pairing their extraordinary products with the finest accompaniments, while continuing to cheer on every player in the cheese industry—from makers to mongers and everyone in between.
