South West Cheese is an independent specialist cheese shop and delicatessen based in Barnstaple, North Devon, dedicated to celebrating exceptional cheese and fine food. From our shop on Butchers Row, we offer over 60 carefully selected cheeses from the South West, across the UK and around the world, all freshly cut to order. Alongside our cheese range, we stock a thoughtfully curated selection of accompaniments including chutneys, crackers, charcuterie, deli favourites and a bespoke wine selection, chosen to perfectly complement our cheeses.

We specialise in helping our customers create memorable food experiences — whether that’s assembling the perfect cheeseboard, discovering something new and unusual, or designing bespoke cheese celebration cakes for weddings, birthdays and special occasions. Our knowledgeable team are always on hand with tailored advice, pairing suggestions and expert guidance.
