Sam Wilkin leads a double life, by day he is the Head Cheesemonger at The Cheese Bar in London. He curates sources and matures all the amazing cheese across their three restaurants and cheese shop. Following a career in wholesale and retail Sam loves working with his team of chefs and cheesemongers to create exciting new pairings and making cheese fun and accessible.
The rest of the time Sam is Cellarman, advocate for delicious artisan cheese and host of the Cellarman Podcast shining a spotlight on brilliant makers. As Cellarman, Sam hosts a range of Cheese Pairing events both online and when possible live!
Sam is also a judge at the World Cheese Awards as well as a judge across a number of categories for The Great Taste Awards.
Sam’s experience in wholesale, retail and hospitality as well as many days spent making cheese with a variety of producers make him the perfect person to give you a love of cheese from the inside of the industry itself.
