Whether on your first steps of learning about cheese, or looking for more in-depth knowledge, our inhouse experts will guide you through the Academy of Cheese Level 1 in small classes where you will feel like you have one to one tuition.  Learn how to systematically taste iconic cheese; how cheeses are made, aged and brought to maturity; how cheese is bought and how it should be presented; as well as regulation and industry knowledge.

You’ll sit your exam having been coached through the course and gain an industry recognised certification.

A wonderful opportunity to deepen your understanding and enjoyment of cheese. The Academy of Cheese – Level 1 course will have you tasting cheese like a professional.

In this one-day course, you will be introduced to a range of tools to taste and talk about different cheeses. How to categorise different styles and identify the provenance and quality of a variety of beautiful cheeses.

Course includes full-day training as well as access to the Academy of Cheese online resources and the Level 1 online exam.

All cheeses for tasting are provided as well as a light lunch and refreshments.

Please note, once the course is booked it is non-refundable. All bookings are final, however, if you are unable to attend you can reassign your booking to a new available date or to another person. We require 14 days’ notice prior to original booking date.

At Level One you are required to study and taste 25 iconic cheeses. You will find details on each cheese in your delegates pack and in the online Cheese Library. Whether you attend an online or classroom course you will be expected to have tasted the 25 cheeses on the Level One list by the time of your assessment.
