George & Joseph Associate Certification – 2 Session Virtual Course May 2023

This interactive online course centred around tasting a range of cheeses as a group is a great introduction to all types of cheese, providing a better understanding of how to taste them properly using the Academy of Cheese’s Structured Approach to Tasting. 



George & Joseph have tailored the Academy of Cheese Level One course to be taught via Zoom over 2 three hour sessions. 

Delegate numbers are limited to 10 per course so there’s plenty of opportunity for discussion in a small group. 

Delegates can choose to receive a pack of 12 cheeses to taste during the course, or they can source the cheeses themselves.

– Level 1 Exam 

– Upon successful completion of the exam you will receive a certificate and pin badge

– Online multiple choice exam paper after completing the study hours 

– Purchasing your own cheeses if you choose the Course Only option

At Level One you are required to study and taste 25 iconic cheeses. You will find details on each cheese in your delegates pack and in the online Cheese Library. Whether you attend an online or classroom course you will be expected to have tasted the 25 cheeses on the Level One list by the time of your assessment.

Use the Structured Approach to Tasting Cheese (SATC) sheet to record your tasting notes.

Whichever way you chose to study, you’ll need to take the online exam to become a certified Academy of Cheese Associate. It’s 30 questions in 30 minutes, you’ve got this!
