For anyone fascinated by beautiful food, whether you are working with cheese or simply have a weakness for cheese and want to learn more about its provenance, history, story and how it is made and matured, this is the course for you. This one day course is open to La Rousse Foods Customers only and is part subsidised at €170 (usually €260)

La Rousse Foods are one of the most high-profile, fine food wholesalers in Ireland and they will provide their state-of-the-art demonstration kitchen and all the cheeses for the course and delegates’ home study.

You will learn about cheesemaking, maturing, affinage, grading; presenting and serving cheese, how to taste and describe cheese using the Academy’s Standard Approach to Tasting system and taste lots of cheese.  All in a fun and relaxed environment.


Please note once the course is booked it is non-refundable. All bookings are final, however, if you are unable to attend you can reassign your booking to a new available date or to another person. We require 14 days’ notice prior to original booking date.

We reserve the right to cancel a course at short notice should events beyond our control make this unavoidable. Should this occur, delegates will be offered a place on our next available scheduled course or a full refund.
